The 'puppies' first time running with a team!

This morning the puppies (although they're hardly puppies anymore!) that were born last spring got a little taste of what being sled dogs is all about! And they did great!! It's good to see all of their early handling paying off in them being comfortable with whatever we 'throw' at them. They take it in stride!
Ginger and George went first. We hooked them in behind Meb, who is learning how to be a leader,  and Yukon, who hasn't run yet this season. They enjoyed an short, slow, easy run and learned how much fun it is!
Me & my best buddy, George.

Wilson and Chloe showed Desi and Diggins how it is done! Wilson has been injured, so needed an easy run himself, and Chloe is working on gaining confidence as a leader. This easy trail and slow pace was perfect training for her as well.

They were pretty pleased with themselves. That was fun!
