Smuttynose Rockfest Half-marathon

This year we decided to run a race that was closer to home. Well, Ed ran it, and I somehow managed to cross the finish line! We couldn't have asked for better scenery, better weather, better friends to run with, better beer, better food, or better music to dance to afterwards!

It's getting more colorful out here every day!

Dad was right...

It does look really nice! It was so hard to come here. I still can't believe she's gone.

3 humans + 3 canines = 1 blurry pic!

Oh well. Cam was able to join us today, and we got in one last tune-up run before Sunday's canicross!

Half-marathon/Marathon Training

Wow. I did not think I could go 12 miles, but I guess I was wrong 'cause we did it! Now mind you, the last half wasn't pretty (damn my legs are tired) and I'm a hurtin' unit, but boy doesn't it feel good to have that last long training run done. Now I can just relax and maintain until my half-marathon!

Sprints

My legs have had a nice couple of days off, but we've got races coming up! (Well, George doesn't, but working with Amber is good exercise & training for him.) Today's workout consisted of a slower warm-up mile with Amber & George, and then a sprint mile with Trek. I've never run with her before...
Holy Hell can that dog run! And pull hard!! I just had to keep my feet under me, which I wasn't entirely successful at... ðŸ¤£ Just call me 'Grace'. But when I did have my feet under me? Yeehaw! We were flying!!

WE DID IT!!

Today we rode a metric century (62 miles) up and down the coast of Maine searching for lighthouses along with 1200 other riders (some rode different distances) in the Maine Lighthouse Ride. It was an epic adventure with a couple of great friends!

Nighttime Feeding

Mama Donut was standing up to nurse so that I could see the puppies' faces. They looked so intense that I had to capture them in a picture!

Too happy?

Nah! No such thing. And I really do enjoy our hikes together. Slow for him, but fast for me. And it's always so peaceful in the mountains!
