Move-in Day

I'm not going to say it was easy, but it's hard to be sad leaving him here when he's so content and happy to finally be on campus and starting his college dreams! We're all so proud that he is now a Rochester Institute of Technology Tiger. He's going to do awesome!

Good Girl Ginger

I enlisted the boys' help with setting Ginger up for success. Nate ran off down the trail first with Trek, and gave her someone to chase. It worked like a charm! Ike just had to try to keep up. He said she did most of the work pulling him along behind her. That's more like it!

Early this morning we lost this wonderful woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife. Our lives will never be the same. Many of you may have been unaware that she was fighting a vicious battle with cancer. She didn't want you to worry. In the end we told her to not worry about us. We've got this. I'm not sure how, but we will take it day by day until we figure it out.

A Learning Experience

This morning it was Ginger & George's turn to try canicross for the first time. It didn't go very well. George was rock solid and I was so proud of him! Ginger, on the other hand, wouldn't say focused. She just wanted to play! Not good, but nobody ever told me this training business would be easy. We'll figure it out next time!

She's so proud of her babies!

This morning we harnessed them up for their very first canicross run! They did great!!

Ragged Mountain 50k

Today this awesome man ran the USATF 50k Championship Trail Race at the Ragged Mountain 75 Stage Race. He isn't a competitive member so his results don't count, but he won his age group! It's a really tough, mountainous course, and his body hasn't recovered from the Vermont 100 miler yet, so he was careful not to push too hard and risk an injury. It was good training for some races coming up this fall.

Playtime!

Once Ginger got the ball, there was no way that Amber or George was going to catch her!!

She likes to help!

Well, she makes it look good anyway. ;-)
He was dragging a heavy tire and kayak up the trail to the lake for a swim/paddle. We hooked her up in front to pull a bit, but she has long since learned how to keep that line tight without doing too much work. She's too funny!
