Happy Dog

It's rare that I tie Amber out, but when I tried to give her this bone while she was in the pen with the puppies, it only took them about 15 seconds to steal it from her. She's so submissive. Which isn't a bad thing, but...anyway....I tied her out front of the house, and she hasn't budged for the last half hour!

Nova's home, so Mia's pups got to run today! That's Desi in front, then Diggins, and Kikkan bringing up the rear. She's easily distracted, but better each time 'cause this running stuff is FUN!!

And that's what we're teaching them now - that running is better than playing and exploring. You'll notice we don't take them too often, so it's a special treat.

Yes, running. 😉 Running is a special treat when you're a sled dog! Well, any dog actually. We're cultivating that natural instinct and love to chase that all dogs are born with because it will translate into their work in harness when they're older and make those future lessons easier to understand. Stay tuned...

Oh, my hair!!

Easy 'shake-out' run with Jenn before she leaves for her half marathon. It was hot, but the wind kept it from being unbearable, and Amber remembered where the water was, of course!

11 mile ride this evening...

He doesn't say much, but Scott's good company anyway. The porcupine? Not so much. I'm practicing patience.

Class Night

Class Night is when the graduating Seniors receive their scholarships. It's a long night because the Oxford Hills community really values education and supporting their children. This amazing community handed out more than $800,000 worth of scholarships! My younger son was fortunate enough to earn the West Paris Scholarship. He will now be able to attend the school of his dreams. I'm so incredibly proud of him! Congratulations to all of you!!

Prom 2018

Yes, she had a 2-legged date, but he was totally upstaged by her Shark in a bowtie.
