It was such a beautiful, peaceful evening to be on the water, despite the fact that the moon refused to come out from behind the clouds. Oh well.

We made it onto the cake!

Every year my aunt orders a cake to commemorate all the anniversaries, birthdays, and graduations in the family at the Wiggin Reunion. We are amongst the lucky ones celebrating milestones! (not everyone was in attendance.)

There were horses racing on the same course at the Vermont 100 Endurance Race on Saturday. It was really cool to see them! From Ed, "I remembered this spot from two years ago. This was at the top of a very long, slow climb for us and the convergence of runners, horses, mountains and beautiful blue sky was almost overwhelming. I sprinted up to get pictures of the horses and their riders enjoying this trail across a mountaintop meadow. Several other runners did the same. Had to switch off racing and become an appreciative tourist for a few minutes. Quintessential Vermont 100 moment!"

What an incredible day! Everything fell into place, and he was able to complete the course faster than his goal time. I just don't even know what to say, except WOW!!

He's taking on a big challenge tomorrow!

Harness training started today!

The puppies (Desi, Diggins, Ginger, & George) wore harnesses for the first time today! As soon as they saw the trail, they took off! They didn't even seem to notice that they were wearing anything. They got loads of praise when they were done!

We're not ones to complain about the weather, but we sure are glad that heat wave is over so that we can hit the trails together again!

Training Together

Ayiyi! Today's workout wasn't pretty, but despite the high trends and humidity, we got 30 miles done. He ran while I pedaled alongside with liquids. It took lots and lots of water and Gatorade to get through this heat!
