My parents' house is on the market. Please share with anyone you know who might be looking for a home. It needs some tlc, but mostly it needs another family to love it like we did.

I'm not posting my own picture today...
This is my parents' home. Their pride and joy. The house I grew up in. 48 years worth of good memories.
Now that Mom & Dad are both gone, it's time to let another familyove this house as much as we did. This morning we met with the realtor and a photographer to prepare the listing and get it on the market. The photographer, Ethan Haley, brought along a drone and got some incredible shots. This one is my favorite!

This is what Ed does on vacation!
First, he sanded the logs, and now he's staining the cabin. It's a big job that really needed to be done. It looks wicked good!

It's finally porch-sitting season, again!
We've been waiting all winter for this! I did have to put on Dad's flannel shirt, though. It's not quite warm enough for short sleeves. That's okay; wearing his old shirts makes me smile. He was from the generation of men who always wore button-down shirts, tucked in, and pants belted. Whether he was staying home, or not. After Mom passed, he didn't have her help anymore to button his cuffs, so he took all of his shirts to a seamstress. She added velcro strips to the inside of cuffs, but left the buttons on so that nobody could tell. A simple fix that meant he could maintain his style!

Pretty Pansies
Yesterday I visited my parents' grave to prepare the li'l flowerbed for spring. I discovered that a couple of the pansies from last year have taken root!

It's nice to have grown kids who will spoil you once in a while!
I've just recently become allergic to dairy. I had been lamenting that I miss ice cream the most. As it turns out, I don't have to. This tastes exactly like the original, which is my very favorite!

Not today!
Lake Auburn looked more like the ocean during today's storm, so needless to say, we didn't sit at that table to eat our picnic. We stayed warm and dry in the car, thank you very much!

"Whatchya doin' in there?'"
"Me? Oh! Oh, nothing. I'm not hanging curtains in the chicken coop. I would never do something silly like that!"
Or would I? These chickens are gonna be way more spoiled than the ones I had before. 🤣 I'm at a different time of my life now!

We're not finding flowers today...
Mother Nature is hitting New England with nasty Nor'easter! Lots of wet, heavy snow and strong wind gusts. We've only gotten a bit of it, but I know a lot of other people who are in a mess. George doesn't mind another taste of winter, though. It's his favorite!

Crocus
I naturalize my spring flowering bulbs when I plant them in the fall, so I never know where they're going to pop up. It's so fun to walk around and search for them!
